Sustainable living in Waipi'o Valley. Green Architectural Design. Joachim Hagemann 213 457 3614

On the road into Waipi'o Valley, we had to cross 4 rivers, the river was the road for a while.

The best taro in the valley.
Polynesian Pavilion in the heart of Waipi'o valley

We scouted a new location in the valley of the kings.
This must be one of the most beautiful places on earth. We are blessed.
Here are some of the ideas that went into planning.

Harmonize with the site. Build as small as possible.
Use natural heating and cooling
Be beautiful as well as ecological, using green and non- or less toxic materials, sustainable approaches to water and waste, environmental landscaping, and energy-efficient design, heating, and cooling.
The houses are striking in appearance, inexpensive to build, totally functional.
Surrounded by tropical fruit orchards, vegetable gardens, greenhouses and animal systems.
- Alternative methods of power generation. Wind and solar. Power grid technology.
- Latest energy-saving technologies related to appliances, advanced lighting and operable shading devices.
Sustainable architecture.
NO PREFAB, using green and non- or less toxic materials wherever possible, sustainable approaches to water and waste, environmental landscaping, and energy-efficient design, heating and cooling.
Green design, affordable green building, non violent and trans-formative action.
